Bruny Island has some amazing walking trails that take you up close to the Island’s stunning landscapes and local wildlife.
If you’re an avid walker, pack your backpack and water bottle and get trekking to these brilliant walks:
- Labillardiere Peninsula walk - a 14km circuit that serves up excellent views of the Southern Ranges. The short loop is ideal for a casual stroll, and the all-day walk is best suited to experienced trekkers.
- Truganini Lookout - a short 15-minute scenic walk located at ‘The Neck’ and easily accessible via a boardwalk.
- Grass Point – a flat 1 hr return walk suitable for all ages.
- Cape Queen Elizabeth - a 3 hr return walk that commences at a 4WD track just north of the Bruny Island Airstrip. With spectacular views, this is an easy walk within the Bruny Island Neck Game Reserve.
